SHERIDAN, Mich. (WOOD) - A 2-year-old boy suffered minor injuries when he fell out of a second-story window of a residence and to the cement ground below.
The incident occurred in the 4000 block of S. Vickeryville Road in Sheridan, southeast of Stanton, in Montcalm County.
It was reported the child's mother had opened a window to speak to her husband outside, and then her attention was drawn to her child inside the residence, according to a news release.
It is believed the 2-year-old climbed on a chair near the window and pushed the screen out, resulting him falling onto the cement ground below, police said.
The child was crying when an ambulance crew and police arrived around 12:13 p.m. Saturday.
The child was transported to Carson City Hospital in Carson City and then to Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids.
The child is expected to make a full recovery.
The victim driver could face charges, and alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, police said.
