CRYSTAL TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A young man from Texas wanted for a robbery involving a weapon in his home state was arrested in West Michigan.
Montcalm County (Mich.) sheriff's deputies were conducting an investigation of intoxicated people at Crystal Park east of Stanton on July 12. They then talked with the Texas suspect who was also there after learning of his warrant.
Samuel Jerald-Stephan Crawford, 19, then ran away from police through the park and then into Crystal Lake, according to a news release.
Crawford again re-entered the park where he was apprehended.
The San Antonio resident was arraigned Monday. He is in the Montcalm County Jail without bond pending the extradition process.
