SIDNEY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Police in Montcalm County need your help tracking down a vehicle that struck a teenager walking along the side of a road and fled the scene.
The 16-year-old Sidney resident was walking south along Sheridan Road near Pakes Road in Sidney Township around 8:40 p.m. Thursday.
As a southbound vehicle passed the teen, the vehicle’s passenger, side view mirror struck one of the pedestrian’s arms, police said.
The driver did not stop and continued driving southbound, south of Stanton.
The teen suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention.
It was raining at the time of the accident, which may have been a factor, according to a news release.
The vehicle is described as a white SUV.
