KENT COUNTY, Mich. (WOOD) - US 131 is down to single-lane traffic this morning between the76th Street and 84th Street exits after an accident occured around5:30AM Saturday.
Michigan State Police tell 24 Hour News 8 two vehicles weretraveling Northbound on US 131 when a red pickup truck rear-ended awhite pickup truck, causing both to spin off the road.
The driver of the red pickup truck fled the scene after theaccident. A passenger was also in the red truck and was transportedto the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the white pickup truck was also transported to thehospital, but had minor injuries.
Michigan State Police continue to search for the driver of thered pickup truck.
