SPARTA, Mich. (WOOD) - Strong winds from a rainstorm that blew in Thursday morning caused quite a bit of damage around West Michigan.
One damage report was at Glenwood Mobile Home Estates near 10 Mile Road and Alpine Avenue NW in Sparta.
A resident told 24 Hour News 8 she awoke around 5:50 a.m. to a "crash" that shook the house. A dead tree had fallen onto a neighbor's home. Nobody was injured and firefighters were called to the scene.
There were also many reports of utility wires down across the area, resulting in many power outages.
One person is dead after firefighters found the victim's body inside a condominium complex in Kalamazoo Township that was on fire Wednesday afternoon.
