GAINES TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A motorcyclist who was not wearing a helmet was hospitalized in critical condition after being hit by a car.
The crash happened around 11:35 a.m. Tuesday on South Division Avenue north of 84th Street, according to the Kent County Sheriff's Department.
A man driving south on Division was turning east into Brewer Park Condos when his vehicle hit Graham Gephart, who was headed north on his motorcycle.
Gephart, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle. He was taken to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in critical condition.
The crash remains under investigation.
