CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A man died after being struck by a mini van near Grand Rapids Monday afternoon.
According to officials, 90-year-old Robert Pankhurst was crossing at the intersection of Thornapple River Dr. and Cascade Road when he was struck by a van driven by Samukatha Chermala, 45.
Pankhurst was transported to a hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Chermala did not suffer any injuries from the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
