ALPINE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - The 22-year-old Alpine Township resident who told police he wasstabbed in the thigh Sunday morning admitted to officers hefabricated the story and stabbed himself in the leg since he waslate to work.
The man was re-interviewed and admitted to the fabrication. Hetold police he had overslept and was late, then decided to stabhimself and report the incident.
Investigators are in the process of obtaining a warrant for hisarrest for the false report of a felony.
