CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A woman who disappeared was found dead in a federal forest area, according to the Kent County Sheriff's Department.
A hunter spotted Catherine Jane Davis' vehicle in a federal forest area in Wexford County on Sunday. Sheriff's officials then located her body, according to a news release.
Authorities said foul play is not a factor in her death.
Family members were concerned for the 53-year-old from Caledonia Township after she was not seen or heard from since 9:30 p.m. Oct. 8. They told police then that she may be confused or despondent because of some medical issues.
No other information has been released.
