GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Many happy tears were shed Friday, as at least a dozen WestMichigan families brought home Haitian children after an expeditedadoption and a pick-up in Miami.
The Brinks family brought home a new daughter and a son, andsaid their expanding family is the best thing that could havehappened to them.
"Life is so much more than having everything perfect," MarisaBrinks told 24 Hour News 8, "and once you see other areas in theworld, your heart goes out to them. And you just realize we're herefor a bigger purpose."
