GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - The Michigan Supreme Court has refused to hear an appeal from Paul Bernard, who was convicted of murdering his ex-wife Mimi Bernard in her Cascade Township home in April 2003.
The decision was released Saturday. A state appeals court panel had refused to hear the 57-year-old's appeal in May.
Paul Bernard lost an earlier appeal of his jury conviction for first-degree murder. He was sentenced to life without parole in 2005.
State records show he is incarcerated at the Chippewa Correctional Facility in the Upper Peninsula.
