GRANDVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) - The body of a 48-year-old man was discovered in cardboard boxes as they were dropped off for recycling at Louis Padnos Iron & Metal in Grandville.
Around 9:25 a.m. Monday, the cardboard boxes were being delivered to the Padnos facility at 3485 Viaduct St. SW. While sorting the cardboard, the body of Anthony Duane Wilson was found by Padnos employees.
Investigators have figured out which truck Wilson's body came from, but that truck made as many as 80 stops before arriving at Padnos.
Wilson's death is being called suspicious.
Wilson had been staying at his family's home on Evergreen Street SE, family members told 24 Hour News 8. His mother, Lottie Wilson, said she last saw him between 9-10 p.m. Sunday, when he left the house.
They described him as a "quiet, nice person" who battled alcoholism. He was not violent, his family said, adding that they are in shock over his death.
He had no children of his own.
11 fire departments from several counties were called out to a fire at an adult entertainment club Wednesday afternoon.
Holland police were searching for 28-year-old Mark Steven Randall Harris, who was considered armed and dangerous, but arrested him late Wednesday night.
