GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Grand Rapids-area police agencies joined forces to arrest two people suspected in a string of armed robberies.
The two men were arrested around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday when officers from multiple agencies served search warrants at three locations in Grand Rapids and Kentwood, according to a news release from the Wyoming Police Department.
The men are suspected in several armed robberies at Grand Rapids-area Cash Advances and a Wyoming bank in the last four months.
Involved in the investigation was the FBI, the Grand Rapids Police Department, the Kent County Sheriff's Department, the Kentwood Police Department, the Walker Police Department and the Wyoming Department of Public Safety.
"This is just another example of the benefits gained from the longstanding relationships that we continue to foster amongst local law enforcement agencies," Wyoming Director of Public Safety James Carmody said in a statement. "Communication and cooperation were instrumental in the successful outcome of this investigation."
