KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - Tips to police helped them track down and arrest a man accused of shooting and robbing another man.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded to a shooting around 2 a.m. Thursday in the 500 block of Ada Street.
Officers arrived and saw a 36-year-old male Kalamazoo resident suffering from a gunshot wound.
The suspect fled after robbing and shooting the victim, according to a news release.
The victim was taken to a hospital and listed as stable.
Police received information about where the suspect was hiding, and were able to locate and arrest the 22-year-old from Kalamazoo.
Authorities recovered the gun used in the shooting and the victim’s stolen property.
