EMMETT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A semi-truck tipped over on I-94 southeast of Battle Creek Tuesday, slowing traffic for a time.
It happened Monday afternoon in the westbound lanes near mile marker 104, according to the Emmett Township Department of Public Safety. That's near 11 Mile Road.
After the semi tipped onto its side, one lane was shut down for about two hours as crews uprighted the truck and hauled it away.
The closure caused traffic backups that continued even after all lanes reopened.
There are not any reports of injuries at this time.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are not yet known.
Vehicles occupied by a sheriff's deputy and a Michigan State Police motor carrier officer were hit.
A fire damaged three garages and some homes in a Grand Haven neighborhood early Thursday morning.
The suspects stole cash and fled the scene.
