KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - A Kalamazoo man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after allegedly robbing a credit union.
The robbery happened at the Omni Community Credit Union on East Cork Street around 2:25 p.m. A man entered the bank and gave a teller a note demanding cash. He then took off on foot, headed north of Morgan Street.
Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers with a K9 tracked the suspect to the area of Lowell and East Cork streets, where they found the suspect in a home.
The suspect was arrested and officers recovered evidence of the crime.
The 33-year-old suspect was lodged in the Kalamazoo County Jail on a bank robbery charge.
