OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A motorcyclist died in a crash Thursday night on U.S. 131 in Kalamazoo County.
Police at the scene told 24 Hour News 8 a group of motorcyclists were driving together on the northbound side of the highway when one of them crashed just north of the I-94 interchange.
The male driver died. His female passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is stable at a hospital.
It is unknown if the victims were wearing helmets, and why the driver lost control of the bike.
The northbound lanes of U.S. 131 were closed for several hours, as was the ramp from westbound Interstate 94 to northbound U.S. 131, as police investigated.
