KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - A 74-year-old man was sentenced to up to 75 years in prison for sexually assaulting two pre-teen girls in August 2011.
Willard Putman faced charges in two counties, and was found guilty May 1. He was sentenced May 29.
Putman took the two victims, 10 and 11 years old , camping at a campground near Kalamazoo on Aug. 23.
There, police say he raped one of the girls, a relative he was accused of sexually assaulting in a separate case last week at his home near Battle Creek, and molested the second girl, a friend of the first victim.
