KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - A Kalamazoo man opened fire on multiple people who he said were attempting to break into his home.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety was called to the 900 block of Stockbridge Avenue near Portage Street just after 4:20 p.m. Wednesday to reports of gunshots fired.
When officers arrived at the scene, a resident told them he had shot one of several intruders.
An 18-year-old Kalamazoo resident soon showed up at Bronson Methodist Hospital with a serious but non-life-threatening injury.
Authorities soon connected that person to the home invasion.
Police continue to identify more people who were involved in the home invasion.
