KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - The ALDI grocery store on W. Main Street in Kalamazoo is looking to hire new full-time cashiers, shift managers and manager trainees.
A hiring event is scheduled for July 9 from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the store at 5355 W. Main Street in Kalamazoo. An ALDI spokeswoman said the number of people hired will depend upon the number of qualified applicants.
Cashiers are expected to make $10.50 per hours, shift managers will make $14.75 per hour and manager trainees will make $22 per hour.
Full-time workers will work at least 20 hours each week. Health and dental coverage and a 401K are provided for full-time employees.
ALDI says applicants must be 18 years or older, have a high school diploma or GED, available to work between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. and be able to lift 45 pounds.
Retail experience is preferred. Management experience is preferred for manager trainees. There will be drug screenings and background checks.
Similar hiring events are also scheduled for July 9 in Sterling Heights near Detroit and Cadillac.
