KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - The husband of a just re-elected Kalamazoo city commissioner will spend up to 15 years in prison for multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct, some with a minor.
Terrance Bell, found guilty in October on all nine counts he faced, was sentenced to:
- 9-15 years for four counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct
- 9-15 years for three counts of chils sexually abusive material
- 16-24 months for one count of fourth-degree CSC
- 40 day for furnishing obscenity to a minor.
His terms will run concurrently.
Bell was convicted of assaulting a female high school student for a year starting when she was 16 years old. He was a secondary special education paraprofessional at the time.
Bell is the husband of Kalamazoo City Commissioner Stephanie Bell.
