BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) - Battle Creek police say a domestic dispute was behind a large police presence on Pitman Avenue near North East Avenue Sunday morning.
Police responded at around 6 a.m. They thought they were dealing with a barricaded gunman but later determined that no one was in the home.
A suspect was arrested a short time later nearby and has been booked pending domestic violence charges, said Battle Creek Police Chief Jackie Hampton Sunday.
No one was seriously injured.
