BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) - A teen was taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds after getting into a fight Thursday night.
Police said the victim, an unidentified 18-year-old male, was walking with the suspect, 18-year-old Allen Livingston, in the area of Carl Avenue and Spring Street in Battle Creek when a fight ensued.
Police said Livingston then shot the victim once in the mid-section and fled the scene.
The Battle Creek Police Department received a call around 10:15 p.m. that the victim was at an address on Burr Street.
The victim was taken to Battle Creek Bronson with minor injuries, and then to a Kalamazoo hospital where he is in stable condition.
Police later found Livingston and took him into custody for assault with intent and felony firearm.
The incident is still under investigation.
