OTISCO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Authorities are asking for your help in finding two men who deputies say duct taped people during an armed home invasion/robbery in mid June.
On June 21, sometime between 3 a.m. and 6:50 a.m., two men broke into a residence on Graceland Drive in Otisco Township. According to Ionia Sheriff deputies, the two male suspects tied the victims up with duct tape, went throughout the house searching for, and grabbing, numerous items and cash.
The victims were hurt during the home invasion, but did not require medical treatment. They did not know the two suspects.
The suspects were armed with handguns during the robbery.
The victims say one of the suspects is a white male and one is a black male, both appear to be in their late 20s to early 30s. They are described as being tall with a stocky build, approximately 6' 3'' tall and weighing between 200 and 280 pounds. Both of the suspects wore dark clothes and a black stocking hat.
Due to various witness statements, it is unclear if the suspects left the scene on bicycles or drove away in a burgundy Honda.
Authorities believe the suspects may be from the Belding area. Ionia deputies believe this home invasion/armed robbery was an isolated incident and they don't believe the general public is in danger.
If you have any information on this robbery or the suspects, you are asked to call the Ionia County Sheriff's Office at (616)527-5737 or Silent Observer at (616)527-0107.
