GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A 19-year-old bicyclist is in serious condition after an accident with a cargo van Saturday afternoon.
Around 1:15 p.m., Grand Rapids Police responded to an accident at the intersection of Madison Ave and Delaware Street.
According to the driver of the Ford E350 and an eyewitness, the van was going north on Madison Ave when the 19-year-old male was going westbound on his bike on Delaware Street. The teenager hit the passenger side of the cargo van.
An ambulance took the teenager to a Grand Rapids hospital. Police say he is in serious condition, but have not released the victim's name.
