GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A suspected bank robber is in the Kent County jail after beingarrested Friday evening. Grand Rapids police say the Chase Bank at2430 Eastern SE was robbed at 4 p.m.
The armed suspect handed the teller a note demanding money. Thesuspect got the money and rode away on a bicycle, which police sayhe later abandoned. He or she was seen later getting into a vehicleheading north on Marshall Avenue.
A few hours later, a person matching the suspect's descriptionwas seen walking on Wealthy Street SE near James Avenue. GrandRapids police investigated and determined the 37-year-old GrandRapids resident was involved in the robbery.
