GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A BB gun was found at a Grand Rapids Public Schools elementary Tuesday.
East Leonard Elementary School students apparently found the BB gun in the bushes near the school when they arrived, GRPS spokesman John Helmholdt confirmed to 24 Hour News 8 Tuesday evening.
They played with it and then put it back in the bushes.
One student reported the BB gun to an adult.
There are no reports of any of the children being hurt by the gun.
The BB gun's origin is not yet known.
School officials are now looking into the matter and will follow the student discipline code with any students found to be involved, Helmholdt said.
Organizers say it would mark the largest effort yet in a push for higher pay.
