GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - One person was taken to the hospital after a motorcycle hit the back of a Grand Rapids Fire Department service truck.
Around 9:45 p.m. on westbound I-196 near Market Ave, some construction barrels were moved on the highway to block off an area around a two car accident.
A motorcycle with two people on it lost control when it got near the accident, slid and hit the back of a Grand Rapids Fire Department service truck. The truck was there because of the earlier accident.
One of the people on the motorcycle were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both of them were wearing helmets. It is unknown if weather was a factor in the crash.
