GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - More charges have been filed against a Grand Rapids Public Schools teacher who was already accused of having sex with teenage students.
On Tuesday, the Kent County Prosecutor's Office charged 35-year-old Jamila Willams with two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct in the cases of two new alleged victims.
Prior to the three new charges, the Grand Rapids University Preparatory Academy teacher had been charged with four counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Williams appeared in Wyoming district court last week and waived her preliminary hearing on the first set of charges. Court documents show she admitted to having sex with two of her students , ages 15 and 16, multiple times over a three-month time period.
Well-known attorney Gloria Allred was in Grand Rapids as well for the case . While she would not say whether she was on retainer for the victims, she said she wanted to offer support.
Williams has not yet been arraigned on the most recent charges.
Wednesday testimony alleged a Grand Rapids man admitted to family and friends that he killed his girlfriend Latrice Maze and put her body in a trash bin.
A domestic violence expert looked at dash cam video for 24 Hour News 8 Thursday that showed the Grand Rapids police response to an incident that allegedly happened the same day Latrice Maze disappeared.
A woman accused of perjury in connection to the homicide of Latrice Maze is back in jail.
