GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Grand Rapids police and the FBI are investigating a Wednesday afternoon bank robbery on the city's northeast side.
The robbery happened around 2:40 p.m. at the Chase Bank branch located at 1100 Michigan Street NE.
A robber entered through the west lobby doors, handed a teller a note demanding money and was given an undisclosed amount of money. No weapon was implied and no one was hurt.
The suspect then took off on foot around the back of the building and then east through the parking lot. Police tried tracking the suspect, but didn't find him.
The suspect is described as a 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8 Hispanic male between the ages of 20 and 25 with short hair. He was wearing a blue Orlando Magic baseball cap, sunglasses, a white polo shirt with a T-shirt underneath, jeans and tennis shoes.
