GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A teenager is in critical condition at a hospital after being shot in Grand Rapids.
The victim was walking near Martin Luther King Jr. Park, near Franklin Street and Fuller Avenue SE, when he heard gunshots from an unknown direction and was hit. A bullet passed through his left arm and lodged in the left side of his torso.
A passerby transported the 17-year-old male to Mercy Health Saint Mary's in Grand Rapids around 8:15 p.m. Monday.
Nobody is in custody for the shooting, and a description of a possible suspect has not been released.
