GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A man is in critical condition after getting shot in the back of a car Sunday morning.
The shooting happened at around 3:30 a.m. while the victim was in the back seat of a car that was traveling south on Division Avenue south of Wealthy Street SE.
The victim, 21-year-old Andre Terrell Davis, suffered life-threatening injuries and is at a hospital in critical condition.
The Grand Rapids Police Department went to the hospital after learning that Davis was transported there after the shooting. They say the car was shot at from all sides. Everyone in the car is not cooperating with police.
Davis' father tells 24 Hour News 8 the family's house has been shot at in the past.
Andre Davis was a 2011 Grand Rapids Christian graduate and a running back for the varsity football team during his senior year.
