GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - The cause of the fire that destroyed an auto salvage business in Grand Rapids last week will go down in the books as "undetermined."
The fire ripped through Lee Auto Exports on Sept. 12 and destroyed the building and several vehicles.
Fire investigators believe the fire started outside the building, which makes it very unlikely that sparks from operations inside the business -- like welders or grinder -- cause the blaze.
The co-owner of the business told 24 Hour News 8 at that time damage was at least $200,000.
A few flurries occurred Thursday night. Lows held in the teens and the wind relaxed to the 5 to 10 mph range, with 20s at the Lake Michigan.
On Thursday, the medical examiner's office said CMU student Kelly Markatos died as a result of the eating disorder bulimia.
A memorial marker was unveiled for three young siblings who died in an apartment fire 10 months ago.
