GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A Grand Rapids pastor, accused of embezzling more than $200,000 from his church, remains banned from church property after a court hearing on Friday.
Attorneys for Arthur Pearson, Sr. asked a judge to allow the pastor back into the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church. Pearson's attorneys said a new church board wants to handle the matter internally.
But a judge denied that request.
Pearson 38 was arraigned Tuesday afternoon on embezzling between $50,000 and $100,000 from the church.
