GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A former teacher charged in a sex case involving two students waived a preliminary examination Wednesday, sending her case to circuit court.
Jamila Love Williams used to teach at Grand Rapids University Prep Academy. She faces one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct and six counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Williams allegedly admitted to having sex with two students multiple times between March 1 and June 1. According to court documents, she also inappropriately touched a 15-year-old student underneath a table at a restaurant and had sex with a 16-year-old student.
Celebrity attorney Gloria Allred was in the courtroom Wednesday with the families of the victims. She was first seen in court with those families in mid-June when Williams waived an initial preliminary hearing.
Williams was later charged with other related crimes, which is why she was in court Wednesday for another preliminary hearing.
