KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) - A new store clothing store is coming to Grand Rapids, and it's one that can't be found anywhere else in West Michigan.
H&M, which stands for Hennes & Mauritz, announced Thursday that it would be opening up a 19,000 sq. ft. store in Woodland Mall, which is located on the corner of 28th Street and the East Beltline.
The store will be located in the east wing of the mall, which is anchored by J.C. Penney. Once opened, it will take over the space currently being used by Charlotte Russe and LensCrafters.
The global retail chain, which sells men's, women's and children's clothing, is planning to expand throughout the Midwest in 2013, according to a news release.
There are several H&M locations in Michigan, but all are located on the east side of the state, with the closest store located in Ann Arbor.
The store in Woodland Mall is expected to open this fall.
