GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - It was a rare sight in Eastown after a Grand Rapids police officer rescued a wayward pig.
The Grand Rapids Police Department posted a photo of the little pig in a cruiser on its Facebook page Friday.
It says the pig walked up to an officer in the Eastown area Thursday. The officer put the pig in the back of his patrol car until he could reunite it with its owner.
The photo proved popular, with nearly 1,000 likes and more then 500 shares within 10 hours of being posted.
The Salvation Army says someone placed a gold coin in one of its Michigan donation kettles.
