GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Power has been restored to about 1,500 Consumer Energy customers in Grand Rapids.
The outage started shortly after 7 p.m. and stretched from the downtown area to the Heritage Hill neighborhood, the Consumers Energy power outage map showed. Power was restored to nearly everyone around 10 p.m.
Consumers spokesman Roger Morgenstern told 24 Hour News 8 some electrical wires in a transmission line burned out in the area of Lyon Street and Ransom Avenue NE. Crews replaced the wires.
11 fire departments from several counties were called out to a fire at an adult entertainment club Wednesday afternoon.
Holland police were searching for 28-year-old Mark Steven Randall Harris, who was considered armed and dangerous, but arrested him late Wednesday night.
