GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Grand Rapids police are asking for the public's help to find a missing woman.
Latrice Renea Maze, 26, was last seen around noon Tuesday near Division Avenue and Burton Street. She was reported missing on Wednesday.
Maze failed to appear at a Tuesday visitation appointment at D.A. Blodgett - St. John's, 805 Leonard St. NE in Grand Rapids with one of her daughters who is in foster care, according to the child's father, Kenneth Harris.
According to police, she also failed to pick up one of her children at school on Wednesday.
Harris said he has two children with Maze. Harris said Maze has missed visitation appointments in the past, but it is unlike her to simply disappear.
He said Maze's family members called him, looking for Maze and asking if he had heard from her.
"They're very concerned. So now that I got the call today from a family member, now I'm concerned about my daughters because I don't want my daughters not growing up without a mother," Harris said.
Maze was last seen wearing a white shirt and black slacks.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Grand Rapids Police Department at 616.456.3604 or Silent Observer at 616.774.2345.
Wednesday testimony alleged a Grand Rapids man admitted to family and friends that he killed his girlfriend Latrice Maze and put her body in a trash bin.
A domestic violence expert looked at dash cam video for 24 Hour News 8 Thursday that showed the Grand Rapids police response to an incident that allegedly happened the same day Latrice Maze disappeared.
A woman accused of perjury in connection to the homicide of Latrice Maze is back in jail.
