GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - At least five vehicles, including a semi-truck, were involved in a chain-reaction crash along a Kent County highway Wednesday afternoon.
It happened along northbound U.S. 131 between Ann Street and Interstate 96 north of Grand Rapids.
Two drivers slowed while entering the construction zone and their vehicles rear-ended some other vehicles in front of them, police told 24 Hour News 8.
Another driver swerved to avoid a collision with the vehicle in front of it, causing that vehicle to strike the vehicle next to it, spinning the second vehicle into the path of an oncoming semi-truck, which rear-ended it.
None of the occupants suffered injuries.
A few flurries occurred Thursday night. Lows held in the teens and the wind relaxed to the 5 to 10 mph range, with 20s at the Lake Michigan.
