GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Michigan Department of Transportation crews have completed two projects near Grand Rapids.
All northbound lanes of U.S. 131 between Interstate 196 and Ann Street are open. This project was a $7 million investment that ultimately connects the Leonard Street on-ramp to the Ann Street off-ramp. MDOT officials said the change will improve safety and operations along the highway.
Another completed project involves the ramp from eastbound Interstate 196 to northbound U.S. 131.
MDOT officials said a weave merge lane will be added next year on the southbound side of U.S. 131.
Police are investigating a report of a home invasion, but say there are inconsistencies.
