GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A 6-year-old boy died at a hospital a day after a pickup truck hit him on a Grand Rapids street.
George Albert Garcia from Grand Rapids died Friday at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital, police said in a news release.
The boy ran out in front of the vehicle along Bristol Avenue near Dunlap Street NW around 6:15 p.m. Thursday, police said. The truck was driven by a 56-year-old man from Grand Rapids.
Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the incident, according to the Grand Rapids Police Department.
