GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A man sustained serious injuries after crashing his motorcycle into a car Sunday night.
It happened around 9:45 p.m. at the intersection of 28th Street and Madison Avenue SE, according to Grand Rapids police. The motorcyclist hit a car at the intersection and was thrown over the other vehicle.
He was not wearing a helmet. But luckily, police said, he did not land on his head.
He sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries and was taken via ambulance to a local hospital.
Authorities closed the intersection for a short time as they investigated the incident.
