GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Authorities have arrested a 16-year-old for the murder of a Grand Rapids man.
Tavon Jackson, 20, was shot in the chest multiple times in the middle of the afternoon on Aug. 3. He was pronounced dead at the scene in the driveway of a Andre Street residence.
Edmond Dawan Nevills, 16, was arrested Thursday and arraigned Friday on an open murder charge.
Several families and kids were outside in the southwest-side neighborhood when Jackson was shot. At the time, one neighbor told 24 Hour News 8 she has three children and would move because of the shooting.
