CHARLOTTE, Mich. (AP) - A mid-Michigan teenager has been struck and killed by a train while walking home from school in Eaton County.
TV stations WILX and WLNS and the Lansing State Journal report the 16-year-old was struck about 3 p.m. Friday along railroad tracks in Charlotte, southwest of Lansing.
The Lansing State Journal reports the boy attended Charlotte High School and that he was hit by a freight train.
Charlotte resident Jennifer Wendorf tells the newspaper that "everyone in town who has kids is just sick right now."
