MIDDLEVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) - A father and son from Middleville were upset when the 1987 Chevrolet Silverado they built from the ground up was stolen last month after a truck show in Indianapolis.
On Tuesday, Indianapolis police recovered the Silverado, which had been hidden in a backyard, with little damage.
An Indianapolis police officer was chasing a suspect on an unrelated case through a neighborhood and thought the suspect had thrown away a gun or drugs.
When he returned to look for the evidence, he spotted the blue Silverado.
