CHESHIRE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Two 15-year-old siblings, driving personal watercrafts in an Allegan County lake, crashed into each other Sunday, causing one of the teens to go into the water.
Around 3:30 p.m., rescue crews were called to Duck Lake in Allegan County, located six miles northeast of Bloomingdale, MI.
Authorities say the teens were running in circles in the lake when one of the teens turned in front of the other one. The two watercrafts collided and knocked one of the teens into the water. Another person in a small watercraft went to the crash and pulled the teenager in the water out of it.
One of the teenagers received minor injuries in the crash and was taken to Allegan General Hospital. Authorities issued citations to both teens for watercraft and marine violations.
