PLAINWELL, Mich. (WOOD) - A driver claims the sun glare hindered his vision, resulting in a collision with a motorcyclist.
Kevin Boyer from Kalamazoo was driving a van on S. Main Street and turned west onto Starr Road in Plainwell and into the path of a motorcycle, police said.
The two vehicles then collided around 4:45 p.m. Sunday.
Matthew Kamm from Portage was driving the motorcycle. He suffered multiple, non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a Kalamazoo hospital. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Kevin Boyer from Kalamazoo was driving the van and told police that the sun affected his vision.
Fred Glespie was found not guilty in the death of three children who died in an apartment fire.
Police are looking for the suspect in an armed robbery that occurred at a gas station in Plainwell Thursday night.
The rink will be open that day from 3-9 p.m.
