ALLEGAN, Mich. (WOOD) - Perrigo is recalling 18 batches of liquid acetaminophen for infants because the oral syringe that comes with the medication may not have dose markings.
According to the FDA website, Officials from the company said it has not received any complaints or reports related to the product and hasn't found any syringes with missing dose markings.
However, the company is starting the recall because the markings could be missing from some cases.
If the markings are missing, officials said it would increase the chances of a patient receiving too high of a dose.
The recall covers 2-ounce and 4-ounce bottles that are sold in a box that also contains a syringe. They are being sold under store brand labels including Babies R Us, Care One, Equaline, Equate, Harmon Face Values, Health Mart, Healthy Accents, HEB, Kroger, Leader Drug, Meijer, Publix, Rite Aid, Topcare, Up & Up, and Walgreen.
