DORR, Mich. (WOOD) - A motorcyclist died after his bike collided head-on with a vehicle in Allegan County.
It happened just before 6 a.m. Monday on 142nd Avenue near 24th Street in Dorr. A 911 caller who reported the crash said a car and motorcycle had collided and that the motorcyclist was "not doing good," according to the Allegan County Sheriff's Office.
As the westbound biker tried to pass a vehicle, his motorcycle collided with an eastbound vehicle, police told 24 Hour News 8.
The biker barely had a pulse when he was transported to a hospital, where he later died.
He was identified later Monday as 29-year-old Brian Jacob VanSingel.
The occupants of the two other vehicles were not hurt.
Police said the motorcyclist was at fault.
It was one of three crashes that occurred in the same area around the same time, police told 24 Hour News 8, and patchy fog could be a factor in the accidents.
